Portals

My work pays homage to surrealism and places it within a contemporary context. These “mindscapes” are the combination of landscapes and abstraction where figures explore identity in a complex world. By using primarily watercolor and oil, I create dream-inspired imagery that aims to visually represent the meeting of the tangible and intangible sides of life. My ongoing self-portrait series, entitled Portals, explores water as a conduit that makes interdimensional and time travel possible.
